An intriguing salty, smoky and sweet aroma filled the air and we were transported to a busy fishing harbour with plenty of boats, ropes and creels with the evocative smell of freshly caught lobster cooked and served with beurre blanc and slices of lemon. Smoky and meaty on the palate neat like a blue steak with a red wine balsamic reduction and a Thai salad with crispy whitebait on the side. With water on the nose a Mediterranean style tuna salad using fresh lemon juice, basil and celery and to taste, smoked mackerel Vin Blanc, poached in white wine and vinegar.
