We found a very pleasant nose with Neapolitan ice-cream, pineapple, lemon pancakes with sugar and flower meadows – quite succulent and fruity, but with hints of freshly varnished wood. The palate was lively and punchy – perfumed peach and plum and Starburst with the wax paper still attached; then grassy notes, and herbal hints of Fernet Branca and tree bark to finish. The reduced nose combined Bakewell tart, rainbow drops and sherbet straws with lime juice and pine branches. On the palate now, we enjoyed a bittersweet balance of lime marmalade and liquorice sweetness with floral (camomile tea) suggestions and lingering woody warmth.
